For the pair, the bush presents more elemental challenges to those faced in modernity: “every day is about surviving”. However, they have no desire to return to the city. “How can you deal with a monotonous existence…I have no idea?” In fact, Miriam hopes to inspire others through her alternative lifestyle, by releasing a book about her experiences: 'Woman in the Wilderness'.
